Why I created The ADV Exchange
We’ve all been there. You buy the "perfect" Gore-Tex suit, only to realise six months later that you actually need a layering system. Fast forward a few years, and you have six jackets, five pairs of pants, and a garage that looks like a motorcycle dealership showroom.
When I retired and started riding full-time, I finally nailed my setup. But trying to clear out the excess gear? That was a total disaster. Just a sea of scammers, low-ballers, and endless frustration.
I realised the system was fundamentally broken, so I built my own. I wanted a safe space for riders like us—people who treat gear curation as a serious part of the hobby. A place to trade premium kit with fellow riders, without all the headache and the hassle.

We charge a 15% platform commission to the seller on the final sale, plus a flat €20 Secure Escrow & Door-to-Door Courier Fee to the buyer. This ensures your money is totally safe, saves you a trip to the post office, helps us run the site, and allows us to donate 10% of profits to the Trans Euro Trail.

In order to keep things relevant for our members, we will only be accepting gear less than 5 years old. Premium brand jackets, suits, pants, boots, helmets and various ADV accessories, such as electronics and higher value camping items. There is a €150 minimum listing price as this is not a flea market and we do not want to flood it with gear that is better suited somewhere else.
